Ookami to Koushinryou: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf versi remake dari anime Spicy & Wolf yang pernah tayang pada tahun 2008 dan 2009. Seperti kebanyakan remake anime-anime lama, biasanya akan ada perubahan desain karakter dan cerita, buat anime ini desain karakter dan cerita mengikuti novelnya. Jadi, neng Holo di versi remake nya ini kelihatan lebih muda, dan cerita mungkin akan ada sedikit berbeda dengan versi jadulnya. Karena di versi jadul, ceritanya tidak persis dengan versi Novel.
Buat sinopsis lengkapnya ; bercerita tentang Lawrence seorang pedagang yang berkeliling dunia untuk berdagang dan berpetualang. Dia mengunjungi desa dan tiba-tiba ada seorang gadis tidur di bawah jerami di gerobaknya. Dia memiliki telinga serigala dan sebuah ekor. Gadis Serigala itu berkata bahwa dia adalah “Dewa” tapi namanya sebenarnya holo. Lawrence menggoda gadis itu, tapi setelah mendengar kisahnya, dia memutuskan untuk menemani utara perjalanan ke utara. Pada perjalanan mereka berdua memiliki berbagai petualangan & sering mendapat masalah tetapi perlahan ikatan di antara mereka tumbuh lebih kuat.
Dan karena di versi remake nya ini desain karakter mengikuti novelnya, jadi muka istriku Holo keliatan lebih muda. Walaupun mimin sendiri lebih suka desain yang jadul, keliatan seperti mbak-mbak wkwkw
